Kerberoasting is an attack technique that exploits weak encryption, passwords, and misconfigurations in the Kerberos protocol, allowing low-privilege users to retrieve password hashes for higher privilege accounts.
With over 95% of the Fortune 1000 leveraging Active Directory and Windows, Kerberoasting is one of the most common and pervasive attacks used to compromise organizations. It can lead to compromised data, escalated privileges, cracked passwords and more. Certainly a juicy option for hackers!
